We need to make Barack Obama a one-term President, which is why I endorse Mitt Romney for President of the United States.

I appreciate the chance to be a National Delegate and one of six Electors for our state this year, and I pledge my vote to Mitt Romney.

I supported Mitt four years ago, and I will support him again. Mitt is the qualified leader who is ready to stand toe-to-toe against Obama in November and win. We need a strong Republican in the White House who has an understanding of Utah’s need and right to reclaim our public lands, create more jobs and better-fund education.

Mitt and I see eye-to-eye on several issues – most importantly that we must defeat Obamacare and return power to the states. As a former governor, he knows the importance of state sovereignty.

With Mitt Romney in the White House and a proven conservative in the Utah Attorney General’s Office, Utah stands a fighting chance to reclaim our lands. It will take a strong partnership between Utah and D.C to correct the lengthy history of violations of our state sovereignty, especially regarding access to our land.

As you are well aware, the Obama administration has actively pursued an agenda that has sought to strip Utahns of their voice and freedoms. They prefer having someone in Washington dictate land policies and mandate the purchase of health insurance in a one-size-fits-all government. Their actions are not only unconstitutional, but they have led to bigger government, larger deficits and a weaker economy.

Mitt is in a unique position, with the right background and experience, to further Utah’s ability to responsibly unlock our vast reserves of energy, lessen our dependence on foreign oil, create jobs, and allow for recreation. His Utah ties give him a unique perspective and understanding of our state’s ability to lead on the issues most important to us.

As we move forward in this election year, I cannot stress to you enough the value to Utah of having a sure ally like Mitt Romney in the White House. When Mitt is elected, Utah will stand a better chance, with this powerful partnership, of returning control of our lands to Utahns themselves.

This election could very well be the most important of our lifetimes. I hope that you will join me in supporting Mitt Romney for President. With his leadership and our commitment to conservative ideals, we will be well-equipped to fight for Utah’s values.

Sincerely,

John Swallow

SALT LAKE CITY — By this time next week, 22 of Utah’s 29 counties will have filed lawsuits against the Interior Department and the Bureau of Land Management, seeking title to thousands of miles of contested roads that cross federally managed lands.

Beaver, Box Elder, Carbon, Duchesne, Emery, Piute, Rich, Sanpete, Utah and Wayne counties had all filed individual lawsuits in U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City as of Friday night.

The state of Utah is listed as a plaintiff in each of the suits as well, and expects to join the remaining 12 county lawsuits that should be filed Monday and Tuesday, according to Utah’s chief deputy attorney general John Swallow.

The state said in December that it would seek quiet title to 19,000 segments of so-called RS2477 roads in 22 counties.

I’m a conservative. I’ve fought these fights all of my career. I want to lead the charge for our rights and our freedoms. I want to lead the charge for our families. I want to protect Utah, and I want to protect the Constitution.

I have hit the airwaves, and want you to be among the first to listen to my new radio spot.

Three components of a primary election win are: hard work, a conservative candidate with a strong message, and broadcast of the message through radio and TV.

I’m a conservative. I want to lead the charge for our rights and our freedoms. I want to lead the charge for our families. I want to protect Utah, and I want to protect the Constitution. I’ve fought these fights all of my career.

A radio spot can cost over $200, will you donate this much and help sponsor one radio ad?

The ad highlights current Attorney General Mark Shurtleff endorsing Swallow, stating that, “The Office of Attorney General is the largest law firm in the state of Utah, and you need somebody with vast experience to lead this office. John Swallow has that experience . . . He has great legislative relationships to get things done. John Swallow, right now, is the right man for the job.”

Media is the best way to communicate how we can fight the Obama Administration by overturning Obamacare and by unlocking our federal lands to help fund our children’s education. Campaigns can be expensive, but maybe you can help me by sponsoring a campaign sign: $5 for a small yard sign or $20 for a large one.

U.S. Senator Mike Lee is also featured stating: “John Swallow is a real conservative. He’s been leading the fight against Obamacare; he’s been leading the fight to unlock Utah’s public lands, and that’s exactly what we need in the Attorney General’s Office.”

These next few weeks will be critical to the outcome of the June primary, and I hope I can count on your support early on.

Thank you for the support! This past weekend we won at the GOP State convention with 55%, 10 points more than my opponent and now advance to a primary on June 26, 2012. It wouldn’t have been possible without you! I am honored to have your support.

I am in such awe of all the people who spent so much time and donated so much to help with my campaign. Thank you! We have had an outpouring of support these last few months, and I couldn’t have made it as far as I have without you.

The fight is not over; it has just begun. I need your help more than ever to join my team. If you have not yet signed up on my website to volunteer please do so now. We need people to make phone calls, places to put up yard signs, and, of course, monetary donations, as this primary election is going to be incredibly expensive. If you are willing to make even a $10.00 donation, I would greatly appreciate it.

I need you! I need your help and your support. This election is about fighting back against a federal government that continues to take away our rights and encroach on our state sovereignty. It’s about fighting for Utah. That is my promise to you. I will fight, and, together, we will win!

I hope I can count on your support.

2nd Amendment Advocates Support Conservative for Office

The National Rifle Association - Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) announced its support for John Swallow for Attorney General.

2nd Amendment Advocates Support Conservative for Office

The National Rifle Association – Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) announced its support for John Swallow for Attorney General.

“John Swallow has a long record of solid support for our right to keep and bear arms,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. ”Because of his proven support for the Second Amendment, John Swallow has earned an ‘A+’ rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.”

“We urge all delegates to this Saturday’s Convention to vote John Swallow for Attorney General,” Cox concluded.

As a legislator, Swallow sponsored and passed several bills reaffirming the right to keep and bear arms proving he will always fight to maintain that right. One of his bills required courthouses to maintain a secure area for weapons storage for visiting citizens.
He received an “A+” rating from the NRA for his dedication to protecting this right.

Swallow said, “It is an honor to be endorsed by the great conservatives at the NRA. I understand that our constitutional rights are our own, not something the federal government can take away or regulate on a whim. If elected as Attorney General, I will continue to stand up for and defend our Second Amendment rights.”

John Swallow is currently Utah’s Chief Deputy Attorney General of the Civil Division. He was appointed by Mark Shurtleff in 2009. Swallow also served in the state legislature from 1997- 2002, where he sponsored and passed legislation to lower taxes, fight federal overreach, and defend our Second Amendment rights. Swallow is endorsed by US Senator Mike Lee and Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff.
